Soft leather but wears off easy
"I bought the black pair and they're very cute. My first KD shoes were the black Frankie flats and I wore them into the ground across 3 years. These will not last that long. The foam insole is a dream and the biggest selling point for KD shoes. The style is killer and I love them. But the soft leather with paper thin finish is the downfall of these. They've already worn bald in the front but also in the back where my heal lightly sandpapers the ground. I have worn them probably 6 times now. I would buy more colors but it would be a disappointment. I live in Philly so I'm in a concrete jungle, no treks in the woods and I don't wear them on rainy days. I have black angelus leather paint to try to cover the bald patches but it will be on top of the raw bumpy leather. I am more choosy about when to wear these because they're too delicate and at this point they're embarrassing because the bald patches make them look gross and old even though they're relatively new. The raw leather bits are also more susceptible to water damage now."
